ON AUGUST 11, HIP-HOP IS 50 YEARS OLD. TO CELEBRATE, JOHN 106, HIPHOPHUIS AND RÉVOLT ARE BRINGING THE INCREDIBLE PHOTO EXHIBITION CONTACT HIGH TO THE FERRO GASHOUDER IN ROTTERDAM. DON’T MISS THE OPENING WEEKEND, WITH TALKS, PARTIES AND SHOWS.
CONTACT HIGH allows visitors to look at the movement and the artists through the photographer’s eyes, and observe the results of legendary shoots with access to some rare material.
An exhibition that celebrates the photographers who have played a critical role in bringing hip-hop’s visual culture to the global stage, CONTACT HIGH: A Visual History of Hip-Hop offers an inside look at the work of hip-hop photographers, as told through their most intimate diaries: their unedited contact sheets.
